.
It was my first appearance in New York City. If you're going to
play NYC you might as well start at the top.
Many thanks to BB's manager, Floyd
Lieberman, for making this appearance possible.

STANNARD ROCKS WITH THE KING OF BLUES
- East Arlington Gazette - September 2, 2001 Byline - Lana Hauben
Last night, before an audience of thousands spilling out
onto the cool green lawns surrounding Hunter Park, an adoring audience were out
of their seats, dancing in the isles to the sounds of legendary blues man, B.B.
King, and their own Bob Stannard of Manchester, Vermont. Stannard adorned a
shit-kickin' grin throughout as he realized one of his greatest fantasies come
to life, sitting, side-by-side with a great musician, as though he'd been born
to be there. Joined by guitarist Chris Kleeman and violinist Harry Ralph, blues
fans remained till the very last note, surrounding the stage to catch a glimpse
of the great music man and one of the most exciting jammin' sessions in the
region.
George
Kalinsky, official photographer for Madison Square
Garden recorded the occasion on film at the special request of Stannard's
biggest fan, Alison Stannard. Gossip has it that Stannard's head got so big
that he had to be greased through the door at midnight...a great time was had by
all!
